The following was sent to the City of Novato August 22, 2020 (nrt@novato.rg<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why is the city not doing anything about this?  (photo’s attached).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents of the area come here to enjoy the wildlife refuge\/open space and are faced with trash piles, un-sanitary camping conditions, RV’s and trashed out vehicles all the way down Binford road to the Airport.  Many of these vehicles have been there for more than 2 years without moving, (two that I have first hand knowledge of are clearly identified in the photo’s) and some are now mowing the lawn and putting in garden plots.  Will they be paying property taxes?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is clearly not covered under the The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals\u2019 ruling in the Martin v. City of Boise case so I am wondering why this isn’t being addressed by the city<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for the email. I certainly agree with your sentiment and opinion. Employees of the City of Novato are working closely to support Marin County with the RV’s parked in their jurisdiction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
