Another Fire on Binford Last Night!

Good thing it’s wet out, otherwise it might have started a larger fire engulfing Rush Creek Open Space, as well as the adjacent trailer park and neighborhoods.

Here is a message from Toni Shroyer who surveyed the scene this AM:

You can see the remnants seeping into the Wildfowl Sanctuary.

**Note there was also an assault reported on Binford today but no arrest report has been filed so far.

  1. If Insurance Companies find out about Binford Road, it is likely they will cancel home owner’s insurance in Rush Creek and the Atherton Area.

  2. WOW!! Those photos are of this most recent fire on Binford?
It really is terrible for those fragile wetlands to have the rain wash all those toxins into the area…
A very quick fix for protection of those wetlands( and,no harm to tne people) would be to move the people and their belongings to the empty( for many, many years) parking lot at the Fireman’s fund on San Marin. People would be close to the bus, walking distance to stores, etc.
I don’t think construction is due to begin there for many months?((years?)
Seems like it would be safer for people, and our precious wildlife, too.
I’m guessing some of those “millions “we tax payers gave, for helping these folks, could pay for a porta-potty,or two….Good Grief!!
